PYRAMID POWER HELPED ME TO WALK AGAIN

AS Jackie Wheatley struggled up the stairs at her hotel in Cairo tears streamed down her face. She was almost crippled with the pain of arthritis and wondered why on earth she'd come on holiday to Egypt.
"I had to walk with a stick and even hobbling to my hotel room was agony," explains Jackie, 52. "I suddenly started to worry how I was going to get around the tombs and pyramids with their steps and uneven surfaces.

"It was supposed to be a holiday to make me better with renowned healer Joanne Bristow-Watkins."

Joanne is a reiki master - and also practices Sekh Em - both forms of spiritual healing. She runs regular trips to the pyramids and believes that the site boosts Sekh Em's powers.


Jackie, suffering after a hit-and-run traffic accident 12 years before, explains: "I was desperate to get some relief from my pain and that's why I found myself there."


However, she had only just arrived at the hotel and was in more discomfort than ever.


She continues: "Joanne suggested we climb another small flight of stairs to the roof. I didn't think I could do it but I was determined to see the sun set and using all my strength dragged myself outside."


Jackie was dazzled by the view. A short distance away lay the pyramids and the Sphinx.


"A huge golden sun was setting and as twilight fell on the pyramids they dominated the skyline," she says.


"Within minutes my body started to tingle and every muscle was charged with electricity. I thought I had overdone it so I gingerly made my way back down.


"But as I began to descend the stairs the usual stabs of pain didn't hit me. I realised that my legs weren't hurting at all, or my hands, or my back - or anything else.


"Joanne noticed the difference too. 'You came down easily,' she said smiling. I replied, 'I know, I can't understand it. I was looking at the Sphinx and...' my words trailed off."


That night Jackie went over what had brought her to Egypt. "After the accident I woke up in hospital with a dislocated shoulder and had damaged my spine. I went from being very active to using a walking-stick.


"I was virtually housebound," she adds. "The trip was my only hope because my arthritis, triggered by my injuries, was getting worse."


The next day Joanne led the party to the pyramids. It was hot but the atmosphere was electric. Jackie says: "Joanne asked us to close our eyes and we began to meditate. 'Start to feel the energy of this ancient place,' she told us. "I could feel my limbs tingling again."


Stopping by Jackie, Joanne rested her hands a few inches above her head. Jackie recalls: "I felt a strange, hot sensation running up my back. I felt elated just like I had the day before except it was more intense.


"On the way back my walking-stick seemed to have shrunk, it didn't make sense.


"Joanne had the answer. 'You're standing upright,' she said, beaming. For the first time since the accident I wasn't hunched over and on the spur of the moment I gave my stick to an old man by the roadside." Back in her room, Jackie broke down in tears of relief and joy. "I knew that I was cured," she says. "Within days I was striding out ahead of the group and I even went horse-riding." Jackie's GP Dr Joan Roseman confirms the transformation.


She says: "She's walking unsupported and feels much better in her self too since she's been following this treatment."


Jackie adds: "Since my trip two summers ago I have not looked back at all.


"There's no doubt in my mind that the pyramids contain truly unique power - I'm walking proof of that."


We began to meditate and my limbs tingled
