Pat Robertson is Justifying Ted Haggard's Hypocrisy and Evangelical Swindle!!!

Whited Sepulchers

Murder for Hire Advocate Pat Robertson steps up to the plate to defend and justify the gigantic swindle of outed hypocrite Ted Haggard. Says Haggard was 'just a man' --

Haggard was born 'just a man' --- but Haggard set himself up as God's mouthpiece issueing forth the vile and hypocritic rhetoric from a 'House of the Lord'. Haggard is a conman and swindler. Haggard is 'just a man, who likes to make love to man' and should never have been accepted in Evangelical circles, much less ENDORSED by the likes of Pat Robertson, James Dobson, etc. This proves the UTTER and TOTAL lack of spiritual gifts that the New Testament offered believers.

Pat Robertson has stood arm and arm with Ted Haggard, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, Paul Crouch, Ralph Reed -and never once discerned their lies and hypocrisy. He must be in bed with them all.

Robertson, Cerullo say Haggard fallible like any man

01:56 PM EST on Monday, November 6, 2006

By JIM DAVENPORT / Associated Press

FORT MILL, S.C. -- Televangelists Pat Robertson and David Cerullo said Sunday that one of their peer's public failings this week shouldn't reflect badly on others or diminish the faith.

On Sunday, Ted Haggard, the former president of the National Association of Evangelicals, confessed to sexual immorality in a letter read from the pulpit of the megachurch he founded in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The letter said that "because of pride, I began deceiving those I love the most because I didn't want to hurt or disappoint them."

While Haggard has decried homosexuality, he resigned his post with the evangelical association and was fired from his 14,000 member New Life Church after a man claimed to have drug-fueled sexual trysts with Haggard.

Haggard's fall isn't the only for a high profile minister, but Robertson said it shouldn't harm the faithful.

"You know, Christians are human beings like everybody else, they have the same failings," Robertson said Sunday at the groundbreaking for Cerullo's new City of Light near Fort Mill.

If one person goes astray, "it doesn't mar the fact that Jesus is ... the Lord, the truth and the light," Robertson said.

Cerullo, chief executive officer of the Inspiration Networks, has known Haggard for years. He called the situation a tragedy.

But "the biggest mistake we can make is to look at people and to set them up as some type of image or idol or whatever. Jesus didn't call us to be followers of other people," Cerullo said.

"When we get our eye on other people, they're going to fail us," he said after the groundbreaking for headquarters and production facilities south of Charlotte, N.C.

It is going up about 15 miles from the spot where Jim Bakker's PTL Ministries was brought down by an affair with his secretary and a financial scandal that led to prison time.

Political involvement makes high profile ministers more of a target, Robertson said.

"Obviously when you get in politics, you are a target. I've had a bull's-eye on my back about that big, so I know how it is," he said.

Political or not, Cerullo said, "every one of our lives ought to be an open book" because secrets can't be kept.

Cerullo said Haggard probably shouldn't hold a leadership position again, but he deserves forgiveness.

"If we can reach out to prostitutes and drug addicts and people that are homeless, why can't we reach out to fallen Christians? They need to be restored every bit as much as that person who is out on the street," Cerullo said.

He said he hadn't spoken with Haggard since the revelations. It is a "tragic day for him. Frankly, it's a tragic day for the body of Christ," Cerullo said.
