Stocks Tank (Again) So Cavuto Brings Back the Boobs

Mind Control

The stock market tanked again today (March 13, 2007) due to some worrying financial news but to heck with that! If you'd watched Your World w/Neil Cavuto you would have been rewarded for sitting through 55 minutes of anxiety-producing "news." (Rated size XXX)
For example, roughly 11 minutes in, you would have been distracted by images of women wearing pink underwear, like this,

bending over and shaking their butts at the camera and a chyron at the bottom of the screen that read: "IDOL vs. PUSSYCATS."

Several minutes later you would have seen similar video, featuring images a lot like this,

but this time the chyron would read: "PURR-FECT PITCH!"

Another several minutes later, you would see more of that delicious video and the chyron: "CATS MEOW!"

And again, several minutes after that, you'd see more video of pink underwear-clad "girls" and the chyron: "P-U-R-R-R-FECTION!"

And then finally -- finally it was payola time -- Robin Antin the creator of the "Pussycat Dolls" (here they are in all their glory)

came on to comment on -- get this -- the DePauw University sorority that purged "ugly" and overweight women from its ranks.

Cavuto and Antin didn't spend much time discussing the sorority issue until the end but that wasn't the point anyway. The point was the video of the "Pussycats" playing throughout the segment on the right hand side of the split screen.

At the end though, Cavuto and Antin got down to business, so to speak:

Antin: "In regard to the sorority thing, I mean, I think that, that it's ah, getting, becoming judgmental and becoming caddy and all of that there really, I don't, I don't like that. I don't think there's any, you know, that's just not necessary. I mean, girls can get along and I'm very much a fan of women getting along with each other."

Wow! She speaks with such authority, don't you think?

But what I loved most about the segment -- after four minutes of video featuring gyrating "girls" -- was Cavuto's last question:

"And, really, quickly, these women are all very smart too?

Comment: Cavuto isn't exactly a grown-up or a "business news" anchor but he does try to play one on TV.
