Judge: Pastor accused of sex abuse can keep working at church

POCATELLO, IDAHO -- A judge says a youth pastor charged with a sex crime can keep working at his Chubbuck church.

Joshua Robinson, a youth pastor with Gate City Christian Church, has been charged with two counts of lewd conduct with a minor and one count of sexually abusing a minor.

He's accused of abusing a teenager starting when she was 15 years old.

Because of the charges a no-contact order was issued ordering Robinson to stay away from the girl.

But last month Sixth District Judge Peter McDermott modified the order to allow Robinson to return to his job as a youth pastor.

Robinson's attorney says Robinson is now doing administrative duties at the church.

The senior pastor at the church is John Robinson, Josh Robinson's father. He did not return calls from The Associated Press requesting comment.
