I would like to know what the scientists on the U.N.-sponsored Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change know about climate change that other scientists, who are as knowledgable about the climate, and who oppose the IPCC, don't know.

One such scientist is Khabibullo Abdusamatov, at Pulkovskaya Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the supervisor of the Astrometria project of the Russian section of the International Space Station: "Global warming results not from the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but from an unusually high level of solar radiation and a lengthy -- almost throughout the last century -- growth in its intensity... Ascribing `greenhouse' effect properties to the Earth's atmosphere is not scientifically substantiated" (Russian News & Information Agency, Jan. 15). He is not alone in this view as many other climatologists believe that solar radiation is more responsible for global warming than carbon dioxide emissions.

If they are right, they are in accord with a source that predicted almost 2,000 years ago that the sun would get unbearably hot: "…and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. They were seared by the intense heat…." (Rev. 16:8, 9). If the sun is behind global warming, then what? We might do what the end of verse nine says: Repent (turn from sin) and God will pull the plug; not just on global warming, but hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts, etc.
