HiddenMysteries: Obama Orders War Crime Charges Filed Against Israeli Leaders

In a sharp break with their Middle Eastern ally Israel, Russian Foreign Ministry sources are reporting today that President Obama has signaled his approval for United States participation in International Criminal Court (ICC) proceedings seeking to indict Israeli leaders for ‘crimes against humanity’ over their wholesale destruction of Gaza and their apartheid policies implemented against the Palestinian peoples in the West Bank.

President Obama, in beginning this shift in US allegiances in the Middle East, gave American approval for the International Criminal Courts unprecedented action of issuing the first arrest warrant in history for a sitting head of state when last week it ordered the apprehension of Sudan President Omar Hassan Ahmad Al Bashir for crimes against humanity, and which these reports state he intends to be the ‘cover’ protecting him from being charged as being biased against the Jewish state.

These reports further state that President Obama became ‘enraged’ last week when Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat launched an attack against US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and called her ‘ill informed’ when she protested Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes and called the destruction a violation of the US peace plan for the region.

In an unprecedented snub of the new US President, Israel’s Peace Now rights group further reported that the Jewish state was beginning plans to build 73,000 new homes for their citizens in the occupied West Bank, and which Russian International law expert’s state is a blatant violation of the Geneva Convention.

The European Union is also reported to be joining President Obama’s efforts against Israel and have issued a new report accusing Israel of ‘actively pursuing the illegal annexation’ of East Jerusalem in clear violation of International law.

Further bolstering President Obama’s actions against Israel is the upcoming United Nations-sponsored conference against racism, dubbed Durban 2, which states that Israel's policy in the Palestinian territories constitutes a “violation of international human rights, a crime against humanity and a contemporary form of apartheid.”

President Obama is also reported to be angry over Israel’s refusal to allow humanitarian supplies into Gaza, and as we can read as reported by the Middle East’s Gulf News Service:

“Israel is facing unusual pressure for its continued siege of the Gaza population, and for its conduct of the Gaza war.

The United States, the European Union (EU) and the United Nations have demanded that Israel allow at least 500 trucks of aid daily into Gaza - Israel has been allowing less than 200.

According to Israeli officials, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has relayed messages “expressing anger at obstacles Israel is placing to the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip”. George Mitchell, the US special envoy to the Middle East, reportedly issued “a sharply worded protest” against Israeli behaviour.

Senior US officials told the Israelis that “Israel is not making enough effort to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.”

Bolstering President Obama’s intended actions against Israel are the many Americans now openly protesting against the Jewish state, and as we can read as reported by the Jewish Daily Forward News Service:

“When attendees at a recent symposium on “Human Rights and Gaza,” sponsored by the University of California, Los Angeles, Center for Near Eastern Studies, began chanting such slogans as “Zionism is Nazism,” it was not a typical scene for UCLA.

While a handful of California campuses have notoriously grappled with heavy anti-Israel sentiment, at UCLA, at least, relations between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian students have generally been more placid — until now, that is.

In his 34 years as director of UCLA, Hillel Chaim Seidler-Feller, known for his dovish views, said that he has never heard of such a vitriolic incident as what happened at the now infamous January 31 symposium, which Judea Pearl, writing in an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal, went so far as to term a “Hamas recruitment rally.”

According to the Israel on Campus Coalition, a Washington-based Israel education and advocacy umbrella group, the ramping up of tensions at UCLA in the wake of Israel’s three-week incursion into Gaza is not unique. The ICC, which tracks incidents of anti-Israel activity on campuses across the country, is contending that episodes like the one at UCLA have seen a dramatic upsurge over the past two months.”

In an ironic twist of fate, President Obama’s shifting of the United States away from its historic backing of Israel places it on the same path as its Middle Eastern foe Iran, and whose Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, opened an International Conference of Israeli war crimes and called upon Interpol to issue immediate arrest warrants for 15 Israeli leaders accused of war crimes.

Iran’s Chief Prosecutor, Saeed Mortazavi, has also drawn up charges against 34 Israeli commanders and 115 individuals concerning their actions during the Gaza campaign.

Fears over these actions against them are reported to be ‘deeply concerning’ to Israel’s leadership, especially after the International Criminal Courts Chief Prosecutor, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, agreed to explore the courts jurisdiction in filing war crimes charges against these Jewish leaders, and as we can read as reported by Israel’s YNET News Service:

“The chief prosecutor of the Hague-based International Criminal Court (ICC) announced he may launch an investigation into alleged Israeli war crimes committed during its recent military offensive in Gaza.

“We are in the analysis phase. I have not yet decided whether we will launch an investigation, but it is a possibility,” Luis Moreno-Ocampo told the Argentinean newspaper Perfil, just a few days after the ICC issued an international arrest warrant against Sudanese president Omar el-Bashir, accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur.”

It is important to note too that President Obama’s stance against Israel appears to have the backing of the US Military establishment who are now reported to be openly targeting their former Jewish allies, and as we can read as reported by the Haaretz News Service:

“In a rare breach of official American adherence to Israel's policy of nuclear ambiguity, the U.S. military is terming Israel "a nuclear power" on a par with Russia, China, India, Pakistan and North Korea, all of which have declared their nuclear weapon status, and ahead of "nuclear threshold powers" Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, and the "emerging" Iran.”

Russian Military Analysts also point out in these reports that President Obama actually has no choice but to turn the United States away from Israel as its past policy of backing the Jewish state’s 7 million citizens against an Islamic World that numbers over 1.3 billion has led America into a quagmire of wars and conflicts that are bleeding the US to the point that it risks its own economic collapse should a greater Middle Eastern war break out, and which appears more likely by the day as Israel’s new right-wing leadership has vowed to attack Iran to keep it from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Most disturbingly about these reports, however, is its stating that President Obama’s breaking with Israel raises the ‘real possibility’ of civil war within the United States lead by their right-wing fundamentalist religious factions who have long believed that Obama is a ‘secret Muslim’ who fully intends to convert America into an Islamic Nation.
