Eating potatoes makes people gain weight. It causes cellulite, worsens the condition of the skin and brings no good to the human body whatsoever. This is what many Russians think about this vegetable in spite of the fact that it is the most popular vegetable for the majority of the Russian people. As a matter of fact, the above-mentioned negative opinion about potatoes is fair only with old tubers. Young potatoes are rich with proteins. Moreover, the content of ascorbic acid in young potatoes is comparable to that of oranges during the harvesting season.

It seemed, perhaps, gloriously insensitive to the plight of unemployed workers, of union workers at the U.S. Postal Service, who are struggling like so many others to stay afloat in an uncertain economy while they're demonized in the press as greedy for wanting a decent job.

As the sovereign debt crisis in Europe continues to spiral out of control, suddenly this term is popping up in the New York Times and in major newspapers all over Europe. So is this by accident? Surely not. The truth is that there is an overwhelming consensus among the political and financial elite of Europe that a "United States of Europe" is what would be best for the eurozone. In fact, there are some very disturbing signs that the very heated war of words between the two major political parties could soon spill over into very real violence in the streets.

Instead of uniting and focusing on our real enemies and on our real problems, the left and the right in America seem ready to go to war with each other. Could the end of the euro actually be in sight? The euro was really a very interesting experiment. Never before had we seen a situation where monetary union was tried without political and fiscal union along with it on such a large scale.

But now Greece has collapsed financially, and several other countries in the eurozone (including Italy) are on the way. Right now the only thing holding back a complete financial disaster in Europe are the massive bailouts that the wealthier nations such as Germany have been financing.
