They'd rather try to brainwash the masses

Age of Reason

Democrats still lack a solid plan (the GOP failed to produce one in SIX years!)

This headline has reverberated ad nauseum throughout the fear-mongering, nightmarish world of Radical Right Media Pundits. These mind controlling media puppets evidently have no real news or original opinions to comment on, so they rattletrap the RepubliCON campaign talking points, as newsworthy, deserving attention.
One would assume that with all the failures of Bush, Cheney, the GOP and the Radical Right Khristians, there would be plenty of 'value' news to write about or comment on.

But alas, they'd rather try to brainwash the masses into thinking the Democrats are 'supposed' to have a plan to fix all the GOP failures and screwups. That is a very large task, since the GOP screw up everything they touch! The rest of us are STILL WAITING on the GOP plan. We have news clippings from a year ago where the people and Democrats were demanding to know what the GOP plan is... any plan. It's evident that the only plans the GOP have are trying to stay out of prison and avoid the war crimes tribunals being raised just for their benefit.

Let's look at a few 'common sense' talking points..

1. The majority Democratic Congress has not even been seated yet, much less in a position to do anything legislative towards the avalanche of problems that they will inherit from the incompetent GOP Majority Congress.

2. The 'in power' RepubliCON Majority Congress, with its RepubliCON Radical Right Bush Administration, are the ones that have no plan solid, fluid or otherwise. If they have one why are they not implementing it before their lame duck congress fades into oblivion as the worst congress ever?

3. If the unseated Democrat Majority Congress has no plan, then it is the SAME plan that Bush and his GOP mafia had one year ago. If that is the case then we are no better or no worse off than we are right now.

4. Not only have the American people demanded a different course of action, the not yet seated Democrat Majority Congress have to implement plans legislatively, carefully, and with great planning and thought, unlike what we have suffered under since 2000. These plans when developed and implemented are almost guaranteed to be unpopular with the war mongering FAILED GOP.

5. Everywhere on planet earth where the GOP neoCONS have ventured is a total failure. This is what the Majority Democratic Congress will have to deal with, total GOP failure. They will have to address and hopefully reverse the last six years of GOP atrocities against Iraq, Afghanistan, and many others including the United States.

6. Even if the plans are already being developed the Majority Democrat Congress should NOT reveal those plans to a Radical Right faux News Media! NOT ONE DEMOCRAT, NOT EVEN Rangel, Murtha, or Pelosi should grant any interview to these Radical Right faux News pundits. They are the self-sworn enemy of democrats and no democrat should talk to them. That is exactly what the GOP did. This is exactly what BUSH does by granting an interview with idiots such as Butthead O'Reilly. Democrats MUST let these Radical Right faux News pundits get the Democrat press releases and interviews by second hand reading. They have freedom of press and freedom of speech. But YOU elected Democrats also have the right to WHOM you speak to! Do not grant interviews to the enemy! Hand pick who YOU invite to your press releases. Make sure FOX NEWS is NOT invited.

7. The Democrats MUST remember that the GOP swift boating machine is still entrenched. Do not aid and abet the enemy of truth- the Radical Right- freedom destroying, mind controlling, brainwashing, yellow journalists.

8. Not only must the Democrat Majority Congress figure out the best way to get our military OUT of IRAQ and OUT of AFGHANISTAN, but also how to repair and rebuild what the GOP have destroyed in those places in six long years of Radical Right GOP torture, murder, genocide, kangaroo courts, wars, lies, broken promises, etc.

9. The United States is liable, if not by international law, by moral law of the heart, to repair what they have broken in the Middle East. Even neighboring countries that have taken in refugees from Iraq, Afghanistan, etc., have a valid CLAIM against the United States for restitution of the additional expenses incurred. The United States is responsible for every damage and expense. It is not difficult in international law to see the United States declared the aggressor against nations, peoples, governments that have not threatened the United States. Al Qaeda (if it really exists) is NOT a sovereign nation and war cannot be declared against a nation for the acts of an organization. IF that were the case then nearly every nation on earth where a US Corporation has built a manufacturing plant, and damaged the people or environment of that nation, would be warring against the United States. (perhaps they should?)

10. The Democrat Majority Congress has to come up with the largest 'I'm Sorry' card in the annals of history. How does the incoming congress tell the world that we are sorry that we had a dangerous dictatorial religious extremist regime called GOP that destroyed Middle East peace and security? How does this new Democrat Congress apologize and make restitution for all the GOP Congress and GOP administration's Crimes against Humanity?

11. Frist, Hastert, Santorum, Ney, Foley, and the GOP Radical Right neoCONS have left a huge mess for the new DEMOCRAT congress to deal with.

12. The new Democrat Congress have to forget 'saving face'!!! Why should the new congress save face for the Idiots in the GOP that have brought us to this failure and degradation. For the first time Congress should admit to the world.. Iraq has won America's illegal war on their nation. War reparations are due the Iraqis from the U.S.

13. Getting out of the problems created in the Middle East by the GOP NeoCONS will not be an 'overnight' solution. This is six years of GOP failures that have to be addressed. Troops cannot come home tomorrow…. But they might start by February.

One thing this new Democrat Majority Congress does not need is advice or condemnation from FAILED GOP neoCONS. The last thing it needs is advice and condemnation from the arm-chair cowards of the Radical Right swift boating press or its cheerleaders from the Extremist Right Wing Evangelical Hypocrites.

If Iraq can be saved, then bring the troops home and send those Radical Right Extremist Khristians over there to 'save' those Muslims. These arm chair, inexperienced, ignorant Radical Right extremist Khristians and the Radical Right press pundits do not need to be telling Americans 'how to get out of Iraq'! These are the same mouthpieces that helped put us over there in the first place. They are in large part responsible for the failures of the GOP. They do after all have the 'back door' of the GOP White House.. Top Ted Haggard?

If the U.S. government was run like a business, then the GOP would have all been replaced a long time ago for its failures and headed off in a new direction that would have a greater chance of success. It's obvious the current GOP Administration and Lame Duck Majority GOP Congress have NO PLANS, except to deride the Democrats for trying to get the US out of the GOP mess.

So what I have to say to Jules Witcover radical right syndicated columnist is…

Give Peace a Chance…
Give the New Democrat Congress a Chance.
Wait until they CAN do something before swift boating them.
Try real journalism instead of headline grabbing yellow journalism that lacks the objectivity demanded of a real journalist.
Give UP! The creation theory is NOT science and the world is NOT flat.

Democrats still lack a solid plan
Much more surprising than Rep. Steny Hoyer's easy victory over Rep. John Murtha in the vote for new House Majority Leader was speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi's suicidal backing of the sure loser.

The prospective speaker said she had endorsed Murtha "because I thought that would be the best way to bring an end to the war in Iraq. I know that he will continue to take the lead on that issue for our Caucus, for this Congress, for our country." She thanked him "for his courage for stepping forward one year ago to speak truth to power, to change the debate in this country in a way that gave us this majority this November."

But Hoyer was elected for two reasons that had nothing to do with Iraq.

First, he earned the post as a tenacious laborer in the party vineyards, both on the House floor as legislative technician and on the campaign stump as speaker and fund-raiser.

Second, Murtha offered a sharply undesirable contrast to him - a gruff, unpolished and undiplomatic hard-nose with a questionable ethical background and open hostility to the reform image Pelosi herself seeks to refurbish for the party.

The notion that Murtha as House Majority Leader would somehow help "bring an end to the war in Iraq" disregarded a critical point - that a large majority of House Democrats don't share his view on rapid redeployment of the American presence there.

In fact, the central problem for Pelosi in seeking to bring about and end to the war is that her party is going forward with no firm and definitive position or strategy on accomplishing that result. It is stuck on the generalized proposition that the Bush administration can't "stay the course" toward what the president calls victory in Iraq.

It would be fanciful to assume that voters on Nov. 7 cast their ballots with anything more than a hope that the Democrats would have the answer to the mess in Iraq.

Rather, the Democratic takeover of Congress was the result of a repudiation of Bush as a competent leader and of his going-nowhere policy on the war.

Congressional Democrats and Republicans alike find themselves looking to the approaching report of the Iraq Study Group created by them to provide some sort of an undetermined life preserver that could, at a minimum, nudge Bush off his course to secure, stabilize and defend the propped-up government in Baghdad.

But until the Democrats themselves can achieve a more specific and unified party position on how to extricate this country from the mess created by Bush's wrong-headed radical foreign policy, their voice in the pressing issue of the day will remain essentially an anti-Bush harangue.

One frequent Democratic argument for drawing down the American presence in Iraq - putting greater pressure on the Iraqis themselves to accept responsibility for their own security - found a perhaps unwitting ally the other day in the testimony of Gen. John Abizaid, the head of U.S. forces there, before the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Abizaid, while contending that the U.S. force level was about right now, conceded that as long as the Iraqis looked to the American occupiers for their security they were unlikely to do the job themselves.

He suggested intensified security training by U.S. forces as the answer, but pointedly rejected the argument of Republican Sen. John McCain that more American troops are required if the war in Iraq is to be won.

Abizaid also said coalition and Iraqi forces had only about four months to turn the security situation around - a statement obviously favorable to the Democrats' insistence that a sharp shift in policy direction is necessary.

The prospective Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, told reporters the next day that the war "is not going to be won militarily, it will be won diplomatically."

He and Sen. Carl Levin, soon to be chairman of the Armed Services Committee, have urged Bush to call for a regional conference with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria to find a way out.

That idea would be at least a start in putting more substance to the Democrats' heretofore vague call for a new direction on Iraq.
