Elementary School Principal Charged With Sex Crimes

An elementary school principal is charged with having sex with a child.

Police caught the Illinois man in a Glendale motel.

Police arrested Daniel Markofski, at the Super 8 Motel on Port Washington Road. They say they found him in a room with two young girls who were just partially clothed.

What started as a routine security check of the Super 8 Motel, ended with an Illinois principal in jail.

Police say they caught Daniel Markofski with two Milwaukee teens after smelling marijuana coming from his room.

“They saw two younger girls in the room and a pornographic movie on the television, and that's when it spiraled into much more,” Joel Dhein of the Glendale Police Department said.

Police say the elementary school principal admitted he gave the 15 and 16 year old cousins alcohol and marijuana.

He's also accused of having sex with one of them.

According to the criminal complaint, one teen asked to rent "Alvin and the Chipmunks," but Markofski ordered a pornographic movie instead.

That's not all. When investigators searched Markofski's cell phone, they say they found naked photos of one of the girls taken along the lakefront.

Markofski is principal at Spring Grove Elementary School in McHenry County, Illinois.

Parents at that school are outraged.

“You wonder how long stuff like that's been going on with the kids, you know, I don't think should have the authority to be around kids,” an angry parent said.

Markofski is being held at the Milwaukee County jail.
